Pinar Øzturk is associate professor (full time) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and she is affiliated with University of Agder since January 2019. She is working in the artificial intelligence groups at both universities. She has been teaching Introduction to Artificial intelligence, Knowledge Representation, and Multiagent systems; and Context sensitive Systems courses at NTNU. She has been involved in several EU and NFR projects where she worked with artificial intelligence and machine learning (case-based reasoning in particular) techniques. She has been on the editorial board of the Journal of Applied Intelligence, and served as a reviewer in various journals and conferences. She has published over 60 papers in journals and conference proceedings. Her recent research focus is to design incentive and governance mechanisms to evolve collaboration for social goods, as well as ethical aspects of artificial intelligence.
